One of our favorite places to paddle is on the Myakka River. This photo is from a recent journey near Snook Haven which is now a county park resource. The river offers a multitude of opportunities for wildlife observation and photography. Just remember to see it like this you need to be on a sit on top kayak
Sarasota County and surrounding areas supply us with a seemingly unending supply of locations to put our boats in the water and enjoy nature up close. We offer tours which concentrate on Mangrove islands and tunnels where we often see, at the same time, beautiful birds, Manatees, Dolphin and land bound wildlife.
Our tours are limited to six boats, a number based on providing the most enjoyment for the entire group. Large groups tend to be noisy which is not conducive to seeing the wildlife Not all the creatures we see are big, fast or in the water. Depending on our location we sometimes stop and walk a bit to stretch our legs and see what else we can find. We
always recommend bringing a camera to store the memories for later reflection
Depending on the whims of nature we get a chance to see an eagle looking for supper. The eagles are restoring their ranks after the DDT debacle of the 50’s and 60’s.

You should also bring a towel (leave it in the car) to dry off with after the paddle. Also bring along the desire to have fun
We supply PFD’s, Whistle, Seat and some snacks, so…….. LETS GO PADDLING!!
You can never find a hare when you feel like racing !!
Found this treasure near Casperson Beach (Venice FL)while on a stretch break.
